Chris has been our landlord for about 7 years, in all that time we have always found Chris respectful polite and friendly , all health and safety issues are frequently checked, alarms, ,electrical and ensuring all our exits in the building are clear in case of an emergency. Any work we ask to be done or appliances damaged in the flat are promptly seen to. He also has an amazing workforce who carry out all repairs and upkeep to the property. On a personal note we like the little things he does like flower baskets in the summer, keeps the garden nice, windows clean and always a Christmas card from his family. Landlords like Chris are hard to come by, especially living in London.

I was a tentant with Chris Matheou for 5 years, living at Seymour Road until July 2012. The property was always very well maintained, safe and clean. Chris would come regularly to check the fire alarm and state of the property. Whenever there was any issue, I was able to call him and he would come and fix it or get someone to do it asap. During my stay in his property I even "moved" within the house into a bigger flat as I could not find anything in the area with the same standard. Chris always maintained the property and communal areas, he gave the tenants notice of building work and he even agreed to lay new flooring and paint my flat while I was on holiday. I believe that Chris really cares about his tenants, he listens and invests his time to make sure the tenants are happy and safe.

I have been living at the above address since the 31st of Oct 2012. I have moved to the UK from Germany and had to look for a flat from abroad. Fortunately, Mr. and Mrs. Matheou made my search easy by providing detailed information of the flats available during our intensive communication via emails. Upon my arrival Mr. and Mrs. Matheou organized a welcoming dinner for me and took me to the flat. To my surprise, most of the furniture in the flat was brand-new. They have bought me a new bed that is very essential as well as a new fridge with a freezer, a new washing machine with a dryer and a new oven. Besides that they have also prepared a food basket that made my first days comfortable while getting acquainted with the area and shopping opportunities. Considering a good condition of the flat I did not experience any breaking so far. But even when the small things had to be arranged I have received an immediate response and help from Mr. and Mrs. Matheou. In spite being my landlords we keep friendly relations and have met few times for Sunday lunch. Their care and effort to keep my flat in ideal condition makes my stay really pleasant. I should admit this is so far the best service I have received during my stay in UK.

We are happy to have a responsible and caring landlord. We are always happy to come back to the well maintained and cozy house. In recent years there has been a lot of investments in the property, so to improve the quality of life for us: it was changed and insulated roof, built-in a new gas boiler, renovated bathroom and kitchen. We appreciate renovations and continuous maintenance of premises and equipment. Our garden is looked after very nicely as well. We are always glad to be there, drinking coffee on the terrace, or just lying on the trimmed grass. We are not worried about security as the house's fire engineering are very tidy and is checked on the regular bases. If particular issue or problem occurs, we do not hesitate to turn to friendly and caring Chris because we know that the problem will be solved immediately by the professional team. And it is always nice to get Christmas cards from him and his family..
I have been living in this property for roughly 5 years. During this time I have lived in two different flats. The first time I viewed the property Chris was very thorough in the viewing and was happy to answer any questions. I decided to take the flat there and then! The process was made very easy and smooth which was great. Since moving into the initial flat I have since moved to a different flat within the same building. The process was made very easy and it is a comfortable place to live. Chris is always happy to help and fixes any issues that may arise promptly. Even in the middle of the night if the fire alarm sounds and does not stop Chris will come to fix it. Overall Chris has been a great landlord and is always happy to assist where possible.

I been in London for the last 13 years and I had to change couple of accommodations. I have to say that I didn't have a great experience with all the landlords. Looks like not many people care about their properties or people how are renting and living inside their houses. So when I found the studio flat from Mr. Matheou I didn't expect to much. I remember that the first time I sow he house I was impress. Not just because was clean and had a new paint but it did give me a feeling that this particularly landlord actually cares. And I wasn't wrong. I been living in the same place for almost 10 years and I'm happy to be here. A long of all this years I had a good relation with the landlord and I appreciate how easy is to deal with him and is fantastic how quick he is handling and fixing the problems. I feel safe living on his property because he is making sure that all the safety system are checked periodically. I appreciate that is taking time every year to drop personally a xmas card. In November 2007 I viewed the studio flat I currently live in; I was accompanied by my Mother who wanted to ensure I find a genuinely good place to live. Having arrived at the house, we were pleasantly surprised by the way the house looked. In contrast to all previous properties we had viewed, this house looked like a home from the start, it was well maintained, clean and orderly looking, the front of house was immaculate and the entrance warm and welcoming. It even had little pleasant elements such as a lovely stained glass rose on the front door, little light which would light the area at night and flower baskets hanging from both sides of the door – these were all symbols of what wonderful, caring and honest hands this house was in. I remember me and my Mum looked at each other in almost disbelief as this house was very different from all previous houses we had visited. This was when a kind, calm and courteous gentleman came to meet us and to show us around – this was Chris. He allowed us access to the studio and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Having entered the flat which was on offer, we saw a well-designed, wellthought- out living space which we immediately recognised as having a great potential to make it my perfect little home. We particularly liked the fact that the studio had a separate kitchen with a window, all necessary mod-cons in a very good condition, it was bright and tastefully decorated with curtains in calming colours of the sea. Chris showed us around providing all necessary information and answering all questions we had in a very clear and unambiguous way, what again contrasted him with other landlords we met previously whose answers would sometimes be vague or incomplete, requiring further questions on our part. Having viewed the studio me and Mum looked at each other again – this time to let each other know that we know we need to look no further. We knew this was the right flat and the right landlord to stay with. I moved into the flat on 7 December 2007 and have lived happily and peacefully there since. I can truly and confidently call this place my home. This was the best decision I could have made and I cannot imagine not living at my lovely Flat 6. The excellent service I receive from Chris is of the highest standard and he is ever so helpful. He did go the extra mile (and miles!) on more than one occasion, examples of which can be found in his positive attitude to my Mum being around at times when I needed her help; his willingness to help me with taking down, washing and hanging the curtains back up when I asked him for help as this was physically difficult for me to do on my own; his willingness to help me with moving furniture around and/or storing them; his responsiveness and speed of reaction to all maintenance requests that I had since I moved in; his help with getting the right mattress for me (which was important to me); his care and efforts to ensure that the house has relevant fire extinguishers and signs, as well as working lights and updated notices; his arrangements to get the communal areas of the house, as well as windows, cleaned on a regular basis; and above all, his warm, good-natured personality which makes him not only the perfect landlord but such a wonderful person. I know that many people will agree with this recommendation and that many more people will find Chris to be the best landlord, because he simply is the best landlord. He is professional, fair, diligent, friendly, helpful and the best landlord I have ever met. He has repeatedly demonstrated that his service is of the highest standard and he has already proven on numerous occasions that he is the Best Landlord and the Best Service Provider.

I (together with my husband) moved into Glenwood Road N15 3JU flat 5 in 2004 . From the very beginning Chris was very professional, informative and helpful. If anything was broke he always tries to repair it as soon as possible. The fire alarms and equipment services are carried out on a regular basis. After 7years we decided that we needed more space and the first thought was to ask Chris if he has bigger flats available. We waited few months for right place, but we knew that we want to stay with the same landlord, so few months didn’t make big difference to us. We moved to current address in October 2011 .All together we have been Chris`s tenants for over 9 years. What makes Chris Matheou different to the other landlords? He cares about his tenants and always puts in that little bit extra effort to make us feel at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Matheou, First of all I would like to congratulate you on this fantastic recognition for your years of hard work. I absolutely agree with the councillors, you deserve more than that. So where should I start, I guess from the beginning. First place we've moved in with you was a studio flat at Seven Sisters Road, when I have met you Mr. Chris I knew I wanted to stay at your accommodation, because there was a different feeling than just a regular landlord, that feeling did prove to be right. About 6 years later, we have shared tears together, know quite a lot about each others families and so on. Returning to the main subject: first and every other property that was our next with you, Mr. Chris was shown to us in details, everything has been explained in depth.. We have lived with you for about 5 years and I can not express how much I have appreciate your support throughout the years in different aspects of our lives. Simple things like watering our plants and flowers while we were away, until a bereavement of our son. Sadly but true, some of the members of our own real families have not been so close with us through this difficult times as you. That is what it makes difference!!!! Being a human being and have a feelings and do not be afraid of expressing them. This is one of the reasons, why, after finishing a contract with you back in December 2011, and living somewhere else, you were the first person to contact when we were looking for a new property to live in with our growing family. Myself and my wife, Wiolka are so great full, that we came across a landlord/grandfather (family) for our children, like yourself's.

Hello ! We are happy to leave feedback. Me and my husband moved to the flat since May 2010. Chris and his wife very friendly and kind! If there are any problems around the flat, Chris glad to immediately help. We have got Christmas card from Matheou property every year, its so kind! Also we don't need to ask about parking permit,we are getting it before old one expired . We are happy about everything: service, price, and a lovely landlord:) thank you very much!!!
